LPKF S63 The nightmare continues!!!!!!!
« on: July 02, 2020, 03:20:49 pm »
Where do I start? First question, were the German "Engineers" involved with the ever reliable Mini Cooper, somehow employed by LPKF?

My employer purchased a S63 machine 2 years ago. We have spent more time troubleshooting/rebooting, than actually making boards. We have the solder paste dispenser, but have never used it. I have seen recommendations to avoid that function at all costs. Random errors abound. Can't find camera, can't recognize milling head. The only cure is to reboot machine, or software, or PC, or all three  :scared: We have tried a different PC (WIN 10), same issues. There are the rare occasions (1 out of 5) when it will do one or two boards w/o failing. Those occasions are quickly followed by a trip to the local carryout, to purchase a lottery ticket. Here are the failures encountered yesterday:
1) Could not switch to "MillDrill", 2) Camera lost connection, 3) Machine Error, 4) Error occurred during tool exchange, 5) Internal application error.

My intention was not to disparage all German engineers, only the LPKF, Mini Cooper crews.
