HP 2335 monitor with a pink hue
« on: November 14, 2016, 09:43:56 pm »
I just picked up a HP 2335 23" LCD monitor from my local surplus store.  When the background is white, there is a pinkish hue to the screen, more pronounced around the edges.  This is with the IOGEAR USB video card and connecting it directly to the laptop.  I have played with all the menu settings with no luck.  A google search doesn't reveal much.  Anyone have an idea?  I'm not inclined to crack it open as I just bought it and can return it tomorrow.

edit:  More reading led to me finding out that it's and IPS monitor and the pink hue is a known issue.  It doesn't seem to bother those talking about it unless looking at a white screen, which I will be doing.  My plan was to have some company software open on it and the software has a white background.  It will go back tomorrow.
