Hi all.
I've read many thrads about soldering controller in the forum, but is the first post I write. I hope to learn a lot here.
I have a JBC T245 iron and a Hakko T12 chinesse controller like this:
I'm assuming the iron's connections are:
So, if I connect the iron's "+" to "T12+" of the controller, and iron's "-" to controller's "G", heats up correctly and works pretty well.
Nevertheless, if I connect iron's "GND", to controller's "E", my power supply shows a short circuit.
As I've said, the system works well connecting only the iron's "+" and "-", but I think could be not secure to use without connecting the outer shield of the iron tip to ground.
What do you think about it? Could I ground the tip by any way? There're some problem using it like until now?
Thanking you, I look forward to your replies.
Best regards from Spain.
