The new RPI camera is going to take better lenses that are common in the used market, and it has a larger imaging sensor. (12.3MP camera with a Sony IMX477)
This is definitely going to be a cut above the smaller cameras they have had up until now.

The idea of having access to C mount lenses is really quite appealing to me because they are often available for very little used.
