« on: November 09, 2015, 12:25:44 am »
Anyone have an idea on value for a used BK 866?   Any suggestions/comments?    Still supported by latest software.

Discontinued in 2007:  http://www.bkprecision.com/products/discontinued/866-universal-device-programmer-with-usb-interface.html
It's basically an Elnac Beeprog:  http://www.elnec.com/products/device-programmers/beeprog/

For a secondhand one I'd only pay $20-30 for it (I'm in the market for one as well, just not in a hurry). There are many different brands of Chinese programmers now with a ton of attachments and also a ton of supported devices. The thousand dollar price tag is a bit of a joke, always get that problem though trying to pay off development costs.

do you want to sell it ???   even now it is a very good programmer, keep it.

I have a dataman 48 ... who is a renamed beeprog+    i love it, with the isp connector, very practical,  but i hate the software interface a bit.

The problem is with the adapters, Elnec charge $$$ for whant you can find cheaper on Ebay.

You can ask for at least 200$ for it,  i have paid mine 550$  (used).

tl866 is a lot cheaper than your programmer, wont support as many ic's  than you Elnec "bk 866"
