i can only guess ... one is sure, the 4ch model with AWG is the "all you can get" in that new black/gray case. So probably the photoshop genius while "working on DSO5074" (later renamed to MSO5074) decided to make some knobs smaller and remove such useless things like "single print" button as there was no space
I don't want to be human! I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter ...
I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me.

And what the hell is up with that F7 button?
I'm not saying we should kill all stupid people. I'm just saying that we should remove all product safety labels and let natural selection do its work.

And what the hell is up with that F7 button?

on the new models no idea, but on DSO5xxx models that a function knob to switch on/off dual window mode (which is nice and useful). On MSO5000 it is bit crazy multiknob, so one can select between single/dual window and enable/disable MSO (which is crap and useles). EDIT: no, not useless, but simply double crap. I hate this that much, that i hacked the firmware and moved the MSO functionality to help button (help moved to an useless sys status menu). Now i can enable/disable such major fun ction with dedicated function buttons, and not cycle with one button . Why i think that this is crap -> imagine following situation: you measured with one channel something, then you wish to see that stopped waveform in dual window, e.g. set some markers and search through the waveform ... so you push F7, everything fine, you doing some work, then you wish back to single window - booom , the stupid MSO is enabling second channel and your work is gone, now you push again and MSO is off, but still data captured before is gone. This is double crap.

And the misaligned BNCs. Oh god my eyes are just about ready to roll out of their sockets.

Checking in on these things to see if the price had dropped at all...

Ebay DSO8072E = $563.00 USD

Are the prices significantly cheaper if you are actually in China, or is it about the same?
