Hi! I'm tring to figure out what's the best dirty cheap psu for replace my old atx modded psu.I was searching something digital and programmable. The units that i was checking are the korad 3005p/6005p/3305p or the rd6006 (maybe with linear psu).
I've read here a lot about them, and seen the reviews, but i'm not totally sure what would be the best choice features/reliability/ripple/precision. The price will be comparable. The rd unit has the nice keypad, the korad seem quite strong (excluding the unit failed in the review...)
Or any other alternative in that (sooooo low) price range?
Thanks!
Edit:
Tipology: Linear vs smps (smps linear or smps before the buck). Both good for me, like the better efficiency (less heat) of the smps but like also the no stability of linear...
Functions: the rd6006 has more functions
Stability: korad as linear have no ripple and maybe better response on varying load. For my use i not care of some ripple, but as more precise is better
Reliability:
In case of fault what is more safe? Strange overshot, etc? What's more reliable on the long term?
Voltage: the rd6006 goes up up 60v, 2 in series 120v. 2 konrad 6005 are a bit out of budget. A 3305 (or 2 3005) i get 60v (that for me will be enough)
Current: 2x 6006 12a, 3305 (or 2x 3005) are almost the same. For me both are ok, but i've read that 3305 are a bit limited at full power.
