I saw a , but seriously, I think Dave could (and should) do a much better job!
Here is my objections to as it is:
1. The guy (Lee Teshcler) hypothesized that the huge caps are used in an oscillator, but then admits himself that it is probably not the case, why then mention it at all? BTW, the caps are probably for power supply decoupling.
2. His analogy to a PLC for his intended audience is very reductionistic.
3. He reckons the arm based processor is only for usb transfer. I dont think so... If all the processing occured on the host computer that would seriously slow it down, the arm processor is powerful enough to do some serious processing, filtering, feature extraction, etc. Just because the device can also send over the unprocessed data for the user to inspect the data and perform algorithm prototyping on the raw data does not imply that the data is processed on the host.
