Double surge protector bad ?

Hi, i have a APC wall power supply socket like this :


I got my Playstation4 a TV and a TV-receiver on it.
The PS4 crashes in stand-by mode, and i was reading this online :

The PS4 has a surge protector inside, so your own surge protector is not needed and is causing the crashes.
That is a strange thing, 220volt is not my business so i post it here.

Ok the PS4 crashes i dont mind,
now my TV receiver start forgetting all channels, sometimes just a few.

So are these APC surge protectors not good ?
How can the PS4 crash with 2 surge protectors, not with just one ?

Many devices with SMPSs have a surge protector inside, in the form of a MOV. Having multiple surge protectors should have no problem, the one with the lowest breakdown voltage will clip the surge first, but the rest will probably join in to clamp some of it.

I think your problem is much more likely to be caused by brief supply dropouts - I would be looking for poor plug/socket contacts.

Surges aren't that common on the mains.

It would be very easy and cheap to replace the APC surge device with a new device of known quality and see if the problem goes away.  MOVs with each surge they suppress will have a lower threshold voltage until they fail short circuit under normal mains voltage and trip their circuit breaker or fuse. 
It could be that your suppressor is clamping lower than desired voltages to the point the TV and PS4 drop out enough to lose their memories but not enough to totally shut them down.
