Hi all,

Thought I'd share a writeup I did on an open source project I built. I wanted to use a nice set of Weller hot tweezers for small SMT rework but did not want the compatible boat anchor station. I found this open-source alternative that was a fun project by itself and could be built on the cheap too! The project repository is linked in the article.

Cheers

Nice clean build.
Is it using the two heaters in series and one thermocouple?

Thanks. I'm a little OCD, so the final assembly took wayy to long.

This design uses a dual mosfet and dual auto zero op amp; each heater is being monitored and cycled independently. Attached a photo of that part, the entire circuit diagram is online here: http://kair.us/projects/weller/weller_driver_v11_circuit_diagram.pdf
