Modbus software for custom protocol

Hello all.
Does anybody know of a (Windows) Modbus-software, which allows you to generate a custom poll, for devices which don't speak "standard-Modbus"?
I have not found something like that yet.

Not sure if "standard Modbus" is really a thing at all, regardless of what specs may be published or what is deemed "conventional" by some.

I use a tool called Simply Modbus, which is pretty flexible, and the best of a bad bunch of Modbus test software that I've been able to find and try. It does have bugs, and the support I've had from the publisher was dismissive and unhelpful, so please don't regard this as a recommendation - but it might be helpful.

To be precise, I would like to generate the following poll (and similar ones with 9+2 bytes):
AA 55 01 00 00 0A 11 03 00 which has the checksum 01 1E

According to the screen shots of the software, it seems not possible to generate such custom polls.

Modbus has some function codes, if your request doesn't fit in one of them, it's not vanilla modbus anymore.

Well... just go and fork some open source modbus tool and add your function codes?

Or python... chatgpt is very good at that

Would be nice, if I knew how to properly program

It's commercial, but at least there are free 10min intervals for trial. That's all I need for now.
