I do TV mounting and occasionally have a client that wants a Chromecast 4K connected. To work at 4K it requires using its original USB PSU. Any USB power source other than the OEM will not allow 4K (regardless of power capability). This is fine if the GPO is below and the USB cable can be run to the TV directly, or concealed. However, if the GPO is behind the TV, it needs a bunch of space, or the GPO has to be recessed.
I've researched a little if there is an aftermarket alternative. Only references I could find is a home job where he removed the daughter board and hacked a USB cable to the power, and 'Mission USB Power Cable'

I am really surprised nothing aftermarket exists to solve this problem. However, its become less of an issue as more people upgrade to smart TVs. I'm still curious though.
