Amscope 5Mp camera USB3.0 vs USB2.0 ==solved==
« on: May 20, 2016, 02:55:15 am »
It is a shame to publish crappy images from my phone and i decided to go little more pro and buy camera.
Looking to buy camera for my Amscope microscope and stumbled upon which one to buy.
Options are:
1. 5mp usb2.0
2. 3mp usb3.0
3. 5mp usb3.0
As for usb i think faster interface talks for itself especially for video and for inspection.
As for resolution, it is double sided sword. Better resolution needs more computing power.
The question: is it enough to have 3Mp to make nice pictures and video?
Thank you
UPD: Sorry i had to search threads prior to asking long ago answered question
here
So based on this thread and my needs i choose Amscope MU503-CK http://www.amscope.com/5mp-usb3-0-real-time-live-video-microscope-digital-camera-calibration-kit.html 5Mbit USB3.0 this one is rated as fast camera which gives 101fps at 640x480 which i consider acceptable for soldering. And it can produce images with 2560 x 1922 resolution which i think adequate.
