Neewer TT560 camera flash - How bad can a $30 flash be?

Blew a chunk out of my screwdriver with this thing, even without a full charge. Guess its time to build a discharge tool.

We bought some of these (I think it was the 690 model though) for a project at work along with the power supply. The power supply had 350VDC on a connector with exposed pins  :--

When we linked some of the flashes together with hot-shoe attachments two of the flash units blew up and the power supply took out the 32A type C MCB  :clap:

Canon flashes were perfect.
