A GNSS antenna splitter from BG7TBL
« on: September 18, 2024, 01:50:08 pm »
I received the GNSS antenna splitter from BG&TBL.

It is a passive splitter with DC block by two diodes see picture, so it can supply voltage by both GPS's to the antenna.
Very nice you don't have to worry about which port blocks DC.

The highest voltage is leading, if you have one GPS with 3.3 V output and one GPS with 5 V output.

The splitter is a mini circuits, SP-2G+
I did not notice any significant signal loss, looks even better.

Made some measuments on the SA, from the BG7TBL splitter,

1, port 2 not connected, open
2, port 2 closed 50 Ohm
3, center 50 Ohm, port 1 <> port 2
