Garmin Nuvi 50LM GPS

My GPS just stopped working. I updated the maps for the first time, then, later that day, it failed to turn on.

I tested the voltage and the power is coming in from the cord. I just don't know what to test next. Any advice would be much appreciated.

would it start if you remove the battery ??

and garmin a notoroius  with their usb cables, some generic cable will not charge the device on some models ... not sure if this one could be affected, unless you have the originals garmin ones ...

I don't know if it is the original cord, but probably. It is the cord I've been using for like ten years. I tried to start without the battery and nothing.

I found one Garmin forum and it had nothing. Maybe I'll try another.
