Intron Instruments DSO-2000A Oscilloscope both channels tilted
« on: January 30, 2020, 05:38:38 pm »
I got this oscilloscope in really good condition and about everything seems to work except both of the channels are tilted by the same degree. I find just about nothing about this Intron Instruments by googling. All the trimpots are marked only by some number and letter combinations. How should I proceed?

Oh, first post here. I'm electrician and know the hazards here.

Most likely the yoke has turned on the rear of the CRT.

Im no expert on CRT but have tinkered with them a little over the years, this is what it seems like to me.
Cheers Scott

There was trace rotation potentiometer on the back panel which solved the problem.  :phew:
This potentiometer is rare on oscilloscopes from this era but this being kind of digital makes it possible.

No, and no. They were common and are nothing to do with it being digitising.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

There is no "yoke" on this type of CRT.
At least in the era of round CRT's you could do a physical trace-rotate  ;D
