Converting Milwaukee M18 charger from 110V to 220V
« on: October 07, 2018, 10:25:24 am »
Hi,

I looked everywhere for the circuit diagrams but the only good data I found was this:

http://www.toolgir.ru/peredelka-zu-milwaukee-m12/

My charger is M12-M18, 48-59-1812 (2015) & cutting the track & replacing the varistor & diode did the trick & it is working on 220V.

Now I am working with a friend's Makita DC18RC S & I hope to get it converted too - I'll post my findings here.

Cheers, too fast!

I deleted my message as I missed the photo in the first posts webpage link (the .ru page) which showed where to cut :-[

At least it's now here for anyone else searching in the future

Edit: Replaced varistor with a TVR14681 scavenged from something else, cut the track about 5mm wide and it charges without complaint on 230v.
