Hi, I have no idea how i happened, but it looks like the pad bent one way, and the IC leg the other way. I can clean it, so don’t mind that.
It’s oxidised lead free solder which wouldn’t wet to attach wires, so I blobbed leaded solder over it and sucked it up. Maybe the recoil from the spring loaded sucker hit it, and probably too hot.
I was thinking of either scoring the part of the pad nearest the adjacent leg. It’s not actually connected, but too close for comfort.
Another approach might be to slot a blade in there, and try to move it when heated again.
