Video Recorder Panasonic AG-6200 Instable image
« on: November 16, 2022, 09:15:26 am »
Hello,

I am trying to fix a video recorder Panasonic AG-6200.
The symptoms are shown here: https://imgur.com/a/4YZE8pj
Basically the image is not stable.

What I did: cleaning of the video heads but it didn't improve the image stability.

Anyone has seen similar issue on a VCR ?

Thanks in advance

Hi! I don't know this model, but this fail is common in other similar models, like AG-7330, AG-7350. This fault is due to bad electrolytic capacitors in Servo CTL Head Ic. You replace the caps, and the fault is repaired.
In this video talks about the same fault in a similar Panasonic video. Best regards

Thanks for the reply. Indeed both electronic and mechanical problems are possible here.
I will have a look on the caps as indeed the device is quite old. Might also be tape alignment issue from what I read.
