Real dificul power supply for me
« on: January 29, 2015, 10:23:04 pm »
Hi, there is someone who can't help me with some suggestion about this power supply ,, Power One 17,5A 45V,,.
The problem that i have with this is that when i power it sink from mains 8A and it blows the internal fuse. i use a autotransformer so ya i have a large inrush current at the start. I measure all the diode, transistor, bridge rectifier, cap.. nothing at all. I dont have a schematic for this, so i wonder if there is someone with some experience in this model too give me a start point. sorry i not remove the 2 controller for a better view, no time at this moment. The power supply start at 60 -70 V then when the relay is on it sinks a large current and it blow the fuse.

Identify the SMPS controller IC, get the dataheet and you might find the typical applications listed have the same PSU as yours.
