HP 34970A - 34901A module NVRAM error 913

Got old HP datalogger that shows error 913    "Module reported nonvolatile memory fault". 

FAult seems to follow the 20-channel 34901A module.

Anyone fixed one of these? I'm guessing I'd need to replace the  24C04 NVRAM chip (and possibly calibrate the thermocouple CJC)
