Hello my friends, i'm trying to install WinXP to this scope. But i need drivers for it.
I need a:  "Tektronix DSA8200 Operation System Microsoft Windows XP pro SP2b Recovery Media DVD 063-3981-00"
Or somebody with this model of scope, who can extract driver from installed OS.
Maybe some of the Tek TDS7000B,TDS6000B  (B!!!) series drivers are compatible.

free registration on xdev's may give you some iso's   or ghost images you can open with ghost explorer (v12.xxx  works, can be freely found)

on xdev's you have tds7000b folder with many iso's  and they have an  ghost of a csa 8000,  maybe some in it ?

for tds7k series  there is many drivers, front panel, power  Pc   etc ...     motherboard ?

on tek w free registration :
https://www.tek.com/en/support/software/application/8000-series-oscilloscope-firmware-windows-xp-v5213

do you have this one ?

and maybe some directions here : https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/tektronix-csa-8000-tds-8000-repair-experiences/

Hello, Thank you for helping!
Now i have DSA8200 platform with p4 (s775) motherboard, that model runs XP or upper OS..
It have a PCI type inter-connector board between WIN MoBo and vxWorks MoBo PC's.
It doesn't support win2000 or win98 drivers for 8000 platform.
It has it own's types of vxWorks OS and config files, not comparable with old 8000, 7000 platform.

the 7000B  series has some interlink pcb between the mobo and the scope power pc

normally  you need to answer all the pc side drivers errors   before even trying to start the scope side

and to help,   you list  all the  vid's pid's of each hardware from the device manager,  it help finding drivers,  but the 1st driver for sure is the Intel INF driver

for vxworks  you need to connect to any console port if there is one ? and see if it ticks okay, any errors there too will not start the scope software

xp in some cases  can accept older os drivers

alas  you have one guy on Ebay who claim to sell an compiled tek drivers & os'es recovery  disk,  but very pricey,  not sure your model is there ...

Is only the driver missing?
Perhaps there is some sort of PowerPC running internally, similar to the TDS7K.
There is v5.2.1.3 software on tek.com. There is also vxworks firmware inside. Install this and you should be good to go.

As for the drivers, I could not find them on tek.com. What are you missing? Can you tell us the VID, PID, etc. of the device? A screenshot of the device manager would be better.

Yes it contains PowerPC board that seems to be good, and loading for "L" state.
I connect terminal, it seems there's no data loses in NVRam

Screenshots from device manager.
1) Tek Front panel USB Driver for XP
2) Tek PCI Brige for  XP
3) Looks like special video interface for XP
4) Looks like special video interface for XP

I will try to extract the driver from the TDS7000B recovery discs on xdevs.
Unfortunately, this will take a very long time due to download bandwidth limitations on xdevs. Please be patient. :-+

Unfortunately, the hardware configuration is different from the 7K non-“B” model. The video chip and PCI-Bridge is also different.

Anyway, I extracted the drivers from xdevs 7000B recovery media. It is attached.
In addition, the recovery media was configured with PowerQuest EasyRestore, so I actually recovered it with VM. The recovered disk image is also attached. Since we did not reboot, if you have 7000B, you can use it as it is by copying .vdi and restoring MBR.

I was going to attach it but couldn't due to file size overage, I'm uploading it to MEGA. I will delete it soon. I will upload it to xdevs later.

URL is not available. uploaded to xdevs.

I took a peek at what's in the driver, and Tek has a hand in both the video driver and PCI bridge, not to mention the front panel. A generic driver would not work. :scared:

I'm uploading to xdevs, but it's taking forever.

%iCRGD1% = iCRG1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A03
%iCRGE0% = iCRG0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A12
%iCRGE1% = iCRG1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A13
%iBLBG0% = iBLB0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_29C2
%iBLBG1% = iBLB1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_29C3
