CHY24C LCR Meter Nulling
« on: November 18, 2023, 03:30:55 pm »
Hi everyone.

I have a CHY 24c LCR meter that I bought used. However, in 200pF capacity mode, the screen does not appear as zero. It shows a value of approximately 5pF. When I turn the adjustment pot, I can reach this lowest value. The measurements are correct, for example a 1pF capacitor appears as 6pF. (5+1) How can I solve this problem? Does anyone have documentation for the device?

Thanks.

Maybe the cables have too much parasitic capacitance.
Can the instrument be adjusted to zero with all the cables unplugged?

No, unfortunately it does not zero when not connected to the cable.

Since it is a used product, I think it is a partially damaged part.
