Repair HAMEG HMS1000 R&S HMS X
« on: January 23, 2024, 08:18:02 am »
Goodmorning,
Yesterday I switched on my HAMEG HMS1000 spectrumanalyzer and it stays completely dead. No leds are burning, no display, nothing at all.

First I have checked the two fuses on the back, the are oke, then I have opened de analyzer and did a visual inspection.  Nothing to see, no burned components all looks oke. I Measured the powerlead resistance and it raised in a minute to about 800k.  I asume that there is a failure in the powersupply. Where do I start to look?

Without a diagram troubleshouting is nearly impossible.

So I have some questions:

Does anyone have experience with this kind of problem with the Hameg HMS1000 or de R&S HMS-X?
Does anyone have a servicemanual or at least a diagram available?
Does anyony have an advice available?

Cheers Leo

Have you tried another power cord?
