HP8642B Signal Generator what are these missing parts?
« on: April 30, 2018, 05:53:04 pm »
Just bought a HP8642B Signal generator and after working the front panel I cannot get a signal out of the thing.
I can set controls and such.

So I opened unit and looking around I noticed missing parts.
Looking over tear down photos online I see pictures of the parts but not sure what they are.

Errors : Looks like error is from missing A19  J1 and J2 parts.

Someone stole its attenuators.

33321SC and 33321SD with proper control voltage may be suitable replacements. Amplitude accuracy will be off though, calibration includes the original attenuators.
