Tailgater satellite Dish repair ?
« on: October 09, 2024, 08:09:00 pm »
Found a broken unit on craigslist , had a fall , took it apart and found one of the mounts inside for holding to gear base was broken .
That was an easy fix .
Now I am wondering if there maybe a timing / gear set issue , or procedure ?
Have not plugged yet , till I get some confirmation / to avoid more issues ;)
Did come with carrying bag , receiver-card inside , remote .

Forgot another question , as I had apart saw some type of splitter , but on connection was open , I am under the impression that having a [ guessing ] 75 Ohm terminator should be inplace for interference / noise .
I think it came without a terminator , no sign of anyone else opening .

Have a look at this guy's channel:

Also do a search on Hackaday.

Lots of info there.
Best of luck with it and do not forget to have fun :)
