Hello everyone, as this is my first post!
I am a mechanical engineering student from Germany who has been following the EEVBlog on YouTube at least since 2011.
Recently I came across a neat little Sony C1 PictureBook, its model name is PCG-C1VFK. It was probably built in 2001. Sadly it does not work. Most likely the cause is that the Ni-MH battery leaked and caused corrosion on the motherboard.
For now my main problem is some of the screws. They have some kind kind of Philips head, but with five ends instead of four. They idea seems to be a bit like the Pentalobe that Apple uses, but I am quite sure that a Pentalobe screwdriver would not fit, because its ends are to thick. I am mainly posting this here, because I hope that there is someone out there who has already worked on these machines and knows what screwdriver is needed
For now I have ordered some Torx TR security bits from amazon. At least the look a bit like they could fit, but I still doubt it.
Thanks for any helpful comments on this topic!
