But I repaired an SNC-DH260 once:

Yours is 10 times as expensive though and has RGB output, while mine is network-attached, so they are probably different in every single detail

These are 100% different. I have worked with the EVI D30/1/L and EVI D70s before, which are closer to the BRC versions, but again a world apart in mechanical complexity.

I picked up two on ebay for 1p, in a state of disarray.   It would appear someone has dismantled the tilt mechanisms on both of them and both are missing parts, but some of which came in a plastic bag full of washers, cogs and bearings etc....
 
The goal is to get one working, but I don't know if i have enough bits, or what the under lying faults were.  Sony still sell parts for them, but it looks like many of the custom parts are no longer available.  Still one of these cameras with just pan working would be an interesting project.
