The Keithley 2110 is supposedly the same or very similar to picotest 3510/3511. There may be some service manual available from that side. However don't expect schematics.

2110 is M3510A. There is no service manual available.

2100 = M3500A, is available. It may be helpful.

The M3500A service manual is of very limited use. That meter is closely related to the K2000. The M3510 / K2110 are build around a SD ADC chip and because of the lower voltage range of the ADC also a different front end and amplification.

What are the problems of the meter ? Depending on the faults one may be able to narrow the problem down to a part of the meter.
Some faults can also be detected from a careful optical inspection of the suspect area.
If nothing helps a crude reverse engeniering of the relevant part could be possible - usually there are not that many custom parts.

Did you check the basics, such as various supply voltages on the PCB?
Block diagram and some other analysis here: https://gerrysweeney.com/keithley-2110-dmm-teardown/

You sure about that? The K2000 is a "true" Keithley design. I think you're thinking of the K2100.

AFAIK the Keithley2100 and PicotestM3500 are essentially identical. More like Keithley design (at least to a large part) and maybe manufactured by picotest.

Exactly. But above, you wrote that the M3500A is "closely related to the K2000", not the K2100. We have no reason to believe the K2000 is related in any way.

There is a repair thread on the K2100. Not identical to the K2000, but still very close, up to the point of having corresponding part lables for many parts of the front end. From the pictures I saw, the anlog part looks like an only slightly modernized K2000.

Anyway the K2110 is a very different design.

The error description is still not specific. At least it seems the display still works and not error codes given.
Is there still at least some noise ? Is it still reacting to keys and switching a relay or when switching current ranges or from the 1 V to 1000 V range ?
It the temperature reading still working ?
Are the ohms ranges (e.g. 2W 100 Ohm should give some 1 mA) still sending out some current (e.g. measure with a different DMM) ?

Really?!? I'll have to look into that! Thanks for the tip.
