LeCroy Wavesurfer 44XS-A boot up problems

I have a Wavesurfer 44XS-A that just went black screen on me all of a sudden.  It is 12 years old so I figure it is a dead 3v CR2032 battery.  I take it apart and indeed the battery is bad. I swap it for a brand new one it still does not boot up.  Then I try to clear the CMOS by moving the jumper over to the CLR(for several minutes) and move it back but the best I get is a LeCroy splash screen where it just hangs.  I have tried several combination of things already and I have taken it apart so many times I can take it apart the unit rather quickly.  Not sure what else to try.  Does anyone have any clues on the specific procedure to get this to boot up after changing the CMOS battery?
