« on: December 17, 2018, 11:28:18 pm »
Hello All,
I got two ersa icon 1 without solder head (ersa I tool) but when I looking for the solder head I realized the cost for solder head send to my country is unbelievable high.
so I thinking about use more common head solder with 24v supply. any of the EEV member here have experience have done this "mod"
its easy to find the head solder with 24v supply but I have doubt about the temperature sensing and movement sensing if any of you have idea please let me know.
Thank You
Anton

if its anything like nano it will have tons of electronics in the hand piece = not reusable with generic irons = sell and buy something else, because the only thing you could salvage would be transformer

You can sell one unit and buy a new i-Tool 150W (0100CDJ).
