Testo 560-1 pressure sensor
« on: September 06, 2020, 12:14:19 pm »
"Blue" side sensor shows wrong pressure value and when i zero the pressure values it does nothing when i switch the sensor places now the "Red" side reads wrong values (see attached pic's) so that tells me something went wrong with sensor not the main electronics.

error is not linear meaning if working one reads 1 bar the other one doesn't read 1-0.4bar and error seems to change over time.

anyone heaving experience how to approach fixing this? clear coating on sensor can be removed easily since its some very soft silicone or something

Chances are it's probably going to be the pressure sensor element itself that is defective. I'm assuming it's on the other side of the board as all I see in the picture is an instrumentation op-amp and some passives.

yes i was going to give up and started searching on internet for replacement sensor, but then i removed coating and measured one of the capacitors as short i checked on the other there wasnt short. it was a 10nf one which i replaced i didn't think it will work but i assembled it and tried to zero it and to my surprise it worked ....

i made vacuum to check accuracy and it was working ok i don't know what to think of this repair, extreme luck.
