Repair service for PC/104 CPU module?
« on: September 10, 2015, 01:13:49 am »
Hi all-

Does anyone know of a repair service for an old PC/104 CPU module?  It's part of some obsolete gear I want to keep running.  It won't boot, and gives BIOS beeps but I can't find any info on what the beeps might mean.  Part number is Kontron/JumpTEC 1028-0000-30-2.  Thank you.

Is it a BIOS from one of the big companies (Award, AMI, Phoenix)? The beep codes for those are widely available online.

Check if the ChipDisk is OK ( readable ). If not replace it with some industrial grade CF card and IDE44 adaptor.
Check RAM with Memtest. Measure the 3V battery.
Did you tried to contact Kontron?
For example Kontron MOPSlcdLX platform is still available.
