PS4 PRO ADP300CR only works in 220V

Hello Mates,

a friend of mine asked for help, fix their PS4 PRO power sypply. The damn thing will only work when plugged in 220V, not in 110V.

I believe is the 5V stand-by power supply doing funny business.

The model is ADP300CR from delta, seems very well built (even some nippon chemicon as main caps)

The controller is a remarked SOIC16, DNP012.

Could not find any help online.

Any suggestions?

I think it might be dead PFC. If it's not running, it simply passes mains voltage through without any boosting. During full operation (not standby), voltage on 450V electrolytic capacitors should be around 400V, if it's much lower, PFC not running.

I believe the PFC won't run while the power supply if off, but i do not know how to turn this baby on, maybe some short or feeding 5V back in the 4 way connector.

My friend just handed me the PSU not the console itselft.

Anyway, is a good tip.

I don't know which pin you need to pull up or down. But you also need some load attached to PSU. Without any load at all PFC most likely will not work properly and will shut down due to overvoltage protection.
