I recently acquired a Philips PM 6674 frequency counter and the unit was working fine and suddenly quit working. The display digits don't light when turned on. Checked fuse and some voltage test points and all seem fine. I'm not sure but while connected to "Internal Out" BNC the coax might have shorted to ground but I'm not sure. Shortly after that the instrument went blank.
I have the service manual but have to come to a halt and probably could use some help with this troubleshooting. Anybody have any experience repairing these or willing to repair? Any help appreciated.
