LG 43UJ750V TosLink transmitter

My wife fell and knocked the TV (LG 43UJ750V) off its stand.   AFAICT the only damage is the TosLink transmitter socket for digital audio out.

It is a vertical format connector with pins on a 0.1" x 0.3" grid and is 0.5" high.  It has no identifying marks other than a letter S underneath.

Can anyone put a part number to this and where could I buy it?

It would appear it has an LG part number at least: EAG37842012

Now if can only find one in UK!!!

Those things are fairly generic.  Any transmitter with the same physical shape should work.

Indeed so, the problem is that most are horizontal format - couldn't find any vertical ones in my distributor searches.

Well LG UK were less than helpful.

I could only find the original p/n (EAG37842012) from suppliers in USA and Poland.   Luckily I found Spares2Repair in UK who had several parts with the right form factor and pinout.  I just ordered one with the Vestel brand:

There was an LG one with a slightly different p/n EAG37842001 but that was 3x the price!!

But of course that crow is really tasty - the Vestel part didn't have the same lead spacing
