Need help identifying a Mosfet replacement
« on: May 21, 2023, 04:15:07 pm »
I have a mosfet transistor from a dell monitor model u2715hc power supply board. The printing on it is E05N15R7D01.  Would someone please advise me as to what amperage and volts it may be and suggest a replacement. I cannot find any information about it.  Thanks

E05N15R7D01.

+1, upload a photo, I don't have my ouija board handy...

That said, many mosfets follow a numbering pattern of <prefix>05N15<suffix> where those numbers approximate voltage and current ratings. There are many more variables but that's a starting point.

"The printing on it is E05N15R7D01."

It's E015N15R + 7D01, but that still doesn't help me. The "7D01" is most likely a date/batch code. You could compare it against the date codes on the ICs, or the manufacture date on the monitor's label.

The package is TO-220F.

in the first few search hits :

https://html.alldatasheet.com/html-pdf/961273/CYSTEKEC/MTE015N15RF3-0-T7-X/3612/9/MTE015N15RF3-0-T7-X.html

not necessarily this exact one (hard to say with no logo) , but I would not hesitate to try an equivalently spec'd part.
