Electric pedestal fan remote control codes. Where to find.
« on: January 26, 2022, 04:50:53 am »
Does anyone know where to find the remote control codes for an electric pedestal fan? I can't filter the noise from ceiling fans which are exceedingly common when I try searching. The specific fan is an ARLEC (Australian brand) APF359.
I found the fan without a remote and with a broken base when shopping at La Strada (the street). I repaired the base and am curious about getting a simple remote working to emulate a simple on/off low/med/high function.

I'm imagining this fan is a rebrand of some generic thing sold in many guises around the world. So any info would be worth trying as a starting point.
Thanks.

Well I have a floor fan with a remote.  It's Chinese I believe.  I could scan its code with my magic Chinese component tester and see what happens, although I never did anything like this before.
