I have been getting the question on the Channel for quite some time about using a function generator to calibrate a scope. I do not recommend this as a rule but some times you have to work with what is available and a FG is all that is available. To that end I have acquired a Rigol 4216 and a Rigol 2102 to see if a cal can be done reasonably well. I have been working on a data set to see what I am getting in to and honestly I am a bit impressed with these units. The excel sheet has testing with native clocks, 10Mhz GPSDO, and Rubidium frequency standered.
A video will be coming with all the data as well as some more testing still need to test the rise time. But for being an arb things are looking quite good.
