Oscilloscope - Leader LBO 513A Half Screen
« on: February 08, 2020, 06:38:53 pm »
I was given the scope, but it suffered so damage in shipping. The CRT only shows on the left side. The photo is supposed to be a square wave from the test terminal. Does anyone have suggestions of where I should start looking to fix this? I have the service manual. This is my first scope, so I don't know where to start. It worked fine before shipping.

Does it have wires going to horizontal deflection plates in the CRT? And if so, is one of them loose?

I'm not sure, I am trying to tack it down, but haven't been able to find that exactly. I've checked all of the wires coming out of the CRT and they appear connected correctly. I think the unit took a blow to the side during shipping and am afraid there might be a broken solder joint or trace. Someone told me to get out the magnifying glass, but I don't have a lot of experience at this and am not sure I will spot the break.

My first guess would also be that one of the horizontal deflection leads fell off.

Are the horizontal and vertical calibration correct?
