Open it and post photos.
If it uses zebra strips it could possibly be fixed by cleaning.

Give the rubber zebra connections a good cleaning with isopropyl alcohol. Note the orientation of each zebra connectors in relation to the board and glass LCD display. Clean the gold traces as well. If the connectors are separated from the glass be careful not to scratch the glass. You will see vary faint conducting stripes on the glass where the connector sits. Just a light cleaning with IP alcohol and reposition the rubber connectors. You can use a small strip of tape on the side of the connector to hold the connector in place. Don't use glue. Re-orientate the the connectors and secure the screws. Should work again. Takes patients and a steady hand but it can be done.

ICL7106 most likely. At least that's what's in the Mastech HY3005-3.

Thank you all for your replies.
Coromonadalix, I attached an image of the back of the board.

I will try to clean up and see what happens.

ahhhhhhhhhhh  defintely an 3 1/2  dmm chip like 7106

now it's a matter fo finding the 3 1/2 digits lcd glass  .....   but   if youre stuck    maybe in this site or elsewhere panel meters with lcd .... some are very cheap on Ali or Ebay

https://www.circuitspecialists.com/panel-meters

something could fit the hole ???

unless you find some markings on the lcd glass ???  many will come with pins, but ones with zebra strips .... harder to find
and the other may end up with the same problems ?

dont take the ones with some small mcu in them, most of them dont go at zero volts ... start at 3v and up, take ones with the same dmm ic,
you can or could find ones with almost the same bezel size and could snap in place ?  or do a small adjustment ?
