Well, as I promised, I have returned to show them how I can repaired the power supply for the Ion gun EX03 model: 8558 (Thermo Electron Corporation ).
With the help of mktemp, I knew that transformers that were broken were generic CCFL transformers. With this information and after studying the control circuit both stages, I could fit two generic CCFL transformer obtained from a pair of LCD monitors. The power stage is the first to be repaired as the FOCUS function works in the first. It is important to prove that the working range of both is the one indicated by the specifications (0 to 3 kV), if they do not, can be corrected with potentiometers that are part of the control circuit. So far I've had in vacuum and both work well. Finally and although it is obvious, it is clear that it is important to study the operation of the ion gun, because if you do not know how it works, maybe electronics equipment like a bit embarrassed and do not know because it works in a certain way.
I have some photos of the transformers placed. I will return with a video when operating in the rack.
Thank you very much and see you.
