hey all
i have a fluke 114 where the bottom "leg" of the number display is missing

i initially thought that rubber connector thing between the circuitboard and lcd was dirty, but it turns out the edge of the lcd glass got chipped and it's broken one of the connections

any suggestions on what i might do to fix it?

I've cleaned out the shards of glass hoping it was them interfering, but not such luck. I think if i can somehow bridge the connection it should start working ok, but i dont want to jam metal in there as its glass

Never used it myself, but you could try conductive paint.

thanks, hadn't thought of that.

I've tried a strip of aluminium foil but that didn't work

A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

it turns out its only 30 bucks for a new lcd from the local fluke repair place.. cheaper than a tube of the silver ink here in aus

thanks for the suggestions!
