Hey folks,
I only just registered but seems like a great forums.
I am really getting into electronic repair as a hobby after dabbling in it for years.
Here is my question. I acquired an old TF-200 desoldering station, and in my research I noticed that there were no 'nozzles' for long DIP applications, only BGA, and short DIP.
i.e It seems hard to find a de-soldering nozzle for say a DIP-64 or DIP-48, even a DIP-28.
Is that because it was easier to just use a standard hot-air tip, and so no one ever bothered to make one?
Just interested, I'm probably lacking some historical context here :-)
