resistor value

hi all,ive a flourescent tube driver board thats faulty,there is a resistor open on it,its marked funny,going from right to left the bands are as follows green black silver gold,im not sure what the silver band is for,any ideas?

It's the multiplier, in this case 0.01. Gold would be 0.1.

I think ive sorted it with the help of google,it would seem its a 0.5 ohm resistor,on the pcb on the silkscreen it is marked FU,with what looks like a strait line between the holes where it fits,so could it b3 a .5ohm resistor used as a fuse?

Yep, could be a fusible resistor.
