Hi all, my venerable BWD525 oscilloscope has developed a faulty timebase in its 6S delayed timebase plugin module. I have the service manual for the mainframe, but can't find any info on the plugins specifically the 6S timebase plugin. Does anyone have service info for the 6S module? Thanks

Attached the 6S manual, in 3 parts
EDIT ** turns out I stuffed up the scan of part 1 (only odd pages )  |O. So I have re attached the corrected part 1 which will also include the parts list (part 2 originally), now called part 1B  :P
Have removed the original part 1 and 2, so if you grabbed these versions , delete it and download the updated part 1B (combines pt1/2)

BTW I do have some other manuals for the plug ins ...if desired/needed  !

Lowimpedance you are a champion!!

Thanks so much for the 6S plugin manual. If you do have a copy of the manual for my 6D vertical plugins that would also be appreciated.

And thanks also for your contribution to my earlier posts on my Fluke 8050A LED display conversion. You may have seen that my issue with the "minus" interface turned out to be an error in the original circuit. All sorted now.

Cheers!

Kevin Chant in OZ has a large selection of BWD manuals:

Some stuff seen @ Siglent HQ cannot be shared.

Ok Attached is the manual for the 6D dual vertical plugin amp.
2 parts , main manual and schematics.

Kevin Chants website is good for a number of BWD manuals but doesn't have any relating to the 525 it seems.
If he wants to add these that would be good too.

Just for completeness if any one else has other plugins for this CRO, I have the manual for the 6A 40MHz diff amp, 6B 50MHz amp and 6T time base, as well as the 525 mainframe (but that has been uploaded already)
Request here if needed
The odd multimeter or 2 or 3 or 4...or........can't remember !.

Thanks for the upload of the 6D plugin. It now completes all of the service info for my 525 so that is appreciated.

Perhaps the lack of info on the 525 online is due to there being fewer of them being made in comparison to other more common 539s or 504s...
They were certainly the BWD oscilloscope flagship in the day and the most expensive with the plugins and relatively higher bandwidth. My 525 I think originally came from Edinburgh Airforce base here in SA and has calibration stickers from AWA who were based in the old WRE facility next to the Airforce base.

The letters to BWD concerning the 525 were quite interesting and I think reflect that numbers of government agencies who were purchasers of BWD instruments had some input into John Beesley's designs.

With regards to other 525 plugin manuals that you have to hand, it would be a valuable resource to have them uploaded for other 525 owners.

On checking the 6S part 1 it appears that only the odd numbered pages have been scanned? Would it be possible to post the remaining pages?

Thanks

Ok , cocked that one up  ::), I have corrected my post above with the 'full' manual .... I hope !
And removed the original to prevent further confusion.
Clearly I should check next time  :P :P

As for the other manuals noted , I will get to them sometime and post here when scanned.
