BK 2190 scope(not A, not B, not E, etc) Service info request
« on: November 13, 2023, 08:46:03 pm »
I took a flyer on this scope.  Channel 1 works perfectly, channel 2 is highly attenuated.  I switched the outputs from the channel 2 attenuator to the channel 1 vert amp and it is still highly attenuated.

So I am kind of confident it is on the attenuator board.  Which in this case handles both channel 1 and channel 2 attenuators.

I can easily get to testpoints to follow the signal with my good scope and I would like to get this up and running.  There IS a CA3127E IC for each attenuator and a couple discrete transistors. can't see for certain.  Just got a pair of RCA branded ICs just in case that is where it is.  Cheap enough.

I thought it would be a Kenwood, but it looks like not.  There is NO country of origin other than BK.  Did write BK.

Does anyone have any service info on this scope?  I would like to know the adjustments that will be needed.

Dewey

If it is the one I'm thinking of, it is a Kikusui.

I haven't reviewed these manuals, but have a look and see if they fit.

A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

Or you can buy something from the EEVBlog store or an EEVBlog multimeter from Amazon.
