Hi , i have a trouble with an electronic ballast . At principle the breakdown seemed easy , only it was a blasted electrolithic capacitor after of the bridge diodes.
When i went to test , the lamp didn't turn on. I returned to take apart and i checked transistors(It's ok), i checked the all diodes(It's ok) and i check the toroid's wire(It's ok) .
Then , i injected a 60 VDC* on the fixed capacitor and after the first transistor with the goal to discover if the transitor began to oscillate . With a fail resulted: No oscillate neither it consumed current.
*note(Like you have seen the board haven't fuse, the reason is that when i was checked the board ,a tip slipped and it touched a phase .
This is too the reason for injecting 60 VDC because i don't want to blow more fuse and i haven't a isolator transformer ).
