Finding replacement bypass caps on gpu
« on: September 29, 2021, 10:27:57 am »
I got a gtx660ti with 2 missing 805 mlcc caps. They are in a line with another cap of the same size, so I de-soldered that one and measured it with the capacitance test of my dmm (10uf).
But how can I be sure about the voltage rating? All caps I find in that package size with 10uf are 10, 25 and 50v.

Measure the voltage when powered on.
Probably they're connected to very low voltages, 1.1-3V or so,  so any 6.3V will work.
Of course a 16V one would work too, but size and cost will increase.
